Privacy policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026 · MeetMacros, Montréal, Québec

MeetMacros makes macro-portioned, chef-cooked meals and delivers them across Greater Montreal. This policy tells you what we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain words. We follow Quebec's Law 25.

What we collect

  • Your name, email, and phone number.
  • Body info for your meal plan: your sex, birth date, height, weight, your goal, and your goal weight.
  • Your weigh-ins, when you log them in the app.
  • Your delivery address and postal code.
  • Your food allergies.
  • Your meal picks and your delivery window.
  • The answers you give in the quiz — your habits and goals.
  • Your language choice, English or French.
  • When you gave or declined consent.
  • Emails you send us for help.
  • Payment details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Why we use it

  • To work out your macro targets and portion your meals. This is the main service.
  • To cook, pack, and deliver your box each week.
  • To bill your membership through Stripe.
  • To send you service emails, like order, delivery, and billing notices.
  • To answer you when you write to us.
  • Only if you agree: to send you marketing, to measure our ads, and to see how people use our site.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with the companies that help us run MeetMacros:

  • Supabase — our secure database and login (hosted Postgres).
  • Stripe — payments and billing.
  • Resend — service emails.
  • Klaviyo — billing reminders, plus marketing emails if you agreed to them.
  • PostHog — website analytics and session replay, only if you said yes to analytics. It keeps this data on servers in Europe.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — to measure our ads, and only if you said yes to ads. We turn your email into a scrambled code first, so Meta never gets it in plain text.

If you joined with a coach

Some people join with a coach's code or link. If you did, we share two things with that coach: your first name, and whether your plan is active, paused, or ended.

A coach can also ask to be the coach who trains you. We ask you first, in the app, and nothing is shared until you say yes. If you say yes, they can also see your daily macro targets and your latest weight, and they can send you a macro change to look at. Every one of those shows you the exact new weekly price, and nothing changes unless you accept it.

You can remove a coach at any time in the app. After that they stop seeing your macros and your weight.

A coach never sees your meals, your address, your email, or your phone. They never see what you pay.

Payment

Stripe handles all payments. Your card number goes straight to Stripe. We never see it or keep it. We keep only what we need to bill you, like your plan price and a Stripe ID.

Some of the companies above keep data outside Quebec, such as in the United States. We share only what each one needs to do its job.

Marketing, cookies, and ads

We send marketing emails only if you tick the optional box when you sign up. You can opt out any time. Even if you say no to marketing, we still send the billing and delivery notices the law asks us to send.

That email box and your cookie choice are two separate things. The box says whether we may write to you. The cookie choice says what may run in your browser. Saying no to one never changes the other.

The first time you visit our site, we ask about cookies. Nothing for analytics or ads runs before you say yes. Saying no is one tap, and the “Refuse all” button is the same size as the “Accept all” button. There are three groups:

  • Needed — these always run. They keep you signed in, hold your quiz answers, take your payment through Stripe, and block abuse. They also count your steps through the quiz, using a short-lived tab ID, so we can see the quiz is working.
  • Analytics — only if you say yes. We use PostHog to see how people use the site, and to record some visits so we can fix what is confusing.
  • Ads — only if you say yes. This is the Meta (Facebook) pixel with its _fbp and _fbc cookies, plus the matching report we send Meta from our own server.

Analytics and session replay

PostHog is the company that runs our analytics. It only starts after you say yes. It keeps this data on servers in Europe.

Session replay records how a page was used: taps, scrolls, and mouse moves. We record only the home page and the sign-up quiz. Everything you type is hidden, and email addresses shown on the screen are hidden too. We use it to make signing up easier.

When you say yes, we also keep a longer-lasting ID in your browser, so we can tell a repeat visit from a new one. If you say no, we use only the short-lived tab ID.

Ads and the Meta pixel

The Meta pixel loads only after you say yes to ads. Without that yes, the script is never downloaded, and no _fbp or _fbc cookie is set.

We also send Meta a report from our own server when you reach a key step, like starting checkout. That report follows the same choice: no yes, no report. When we do send it, we turn your email into a scrambled code first, so Meta never gets it in plain text.

Meta may use this to show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram.

Changing your cookie choice

We save your choice in a cookie named mm_consent for about 180 days. After that, we ask again.

You can change it any time. Tap “Manage cookies” at the bottom of any page, or the link at the bottom of this page. The same box opens, and your new choice takes effect right away.

With each quiz step we log, we also note whether you had said yes to analytics and to ads. That way we can show we honoured your choice.

Your rights under Law 25

Quebec's Law 25 gives you rights over your data. You can:

  • See the data we hold about you.
  • Fix data that is wrong.
  • Take back a consent you gave, like marketing.
  • Ask us to delete your account.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account right in the app: Account → Delete account. When you do, we stop your billing and turn off your account, so it can no longer be used, and we remove it from our day-to-day operations.

We are honest about this: deleting your account is not the same as erasing every record at once. We keep some records where the law makes us, such as billing and tax records.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data while your account is active. After you delete your account, we keep only what the law makes us keep, like billing and tax records. We remove the rest from our operations.

Children

MeetMacros is for adults. It is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 14. If you think a child gave us data, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make an important change, we post the new date at the top and, when needed, tell you in the app or by email. The date at the top shows the latest version.
